Album

Had Enough is a song written by the Who bassist John Entwistle, and featured on their eighth studio album, Who Are You. It was also released as a double A-sided single with Who Are You, making it Entwistle's second single A-side, after Postcard from Odds & Sods in 1974. Like 905, Had Enough was planned to feature on a rock opera in the process of being written by Entwistle, but was never finished. It was written a long time before work was started on Who Are You. The lyrics describe the main. The Who - Had Enough Album: Who Are You, 1978 Written by John Entwistle Enjoy. Who Are You is the title track on The Who's 1978 album, Who Are You, the last album released by the group before Keith Moon's death in September 1978. It was written by Pete Townshend and released as a double-A sided single with the John Entwistle composition Had Enough, also featured on the album. The song was one of the band's biggest hits in North America, peaking at number 7 in Canada and at number 14 in the US, and has become one of the band's signature tunes at their live shows. On the Who's final album with Keith Moon, their trademark honest power started to get diluted by fatigue and a sense that the group's collective vision was beginning to fade. As instrumentalists, their skills were intact. More problematic was the erratic quality of the material, which seemed torn between blustery attempts at contemporary relevance Sister Disco, New Song, Music Must Change and bittersweet insecurity Love Is Coming Down. Who Are You was spun out of the night that Townshend, already drunk after hours of financial haggling, half-recognized two members of the Sex Pistols in a bar: that is, he thought either Steve Jones or Paul Cook was Johnny Rotten. Corrected, he felt even more confused: Why cant I see straight. The neat double meaning of the album title - the Who are you - does not outlast the title song. In Had Enough, the singer tries to get mad - Ive had enough of being nice, he chants at the beginning Here comes the end of the world, he yells as the tune ends - but he cant do it. The song limps, the singer fades
